i cant type! so excuse all the many typos and i always forget to run the spellcheck..well work doesn't seem to be getting less hectic bt have managed to fit in going out with the crazy subject librarians, a visit to cheltenham and so lovely italian meal with friends h and n, shopping with my ma, spending half my salary on primar(k)ni clothes etc etc....we've also instigated a weekly visit to the bar at work amongst team members...generally it's just me and t, but it's building in popularity! I work with some truly lovely people, including 2 new(ish) members of the team, n and s, who I love to bits and who I will never allow to leave! It makes the hard stuff much easier to spend time with them both at and outside work, and we all always know we have someone to chat to about whatever is going on...my goodness i wish i were more gifted in communication of this type (like na') but its nice to record even in bad prose how fab my colleagues are!!
t came round on sat pm to watch eurovision, which was great as I could discuss the madness with another human and not just the cats...i enjoyed the over beardiness of the french entry!!! t has also been a superstar and tho next week i shall trounce him at crazy golf and he will probably never speak to me again, is such a good friend, and even made me a cd of loney dear's new album :) they are great by the way!http://www.loneydear.com/ he also really kindly kept me up to date via text with the progress of the milan derby - which AC Milan won, hoorah! - as it currently makes me too sad to watch football. tho i know that won't always be the case :)
on Sunday i walked down through a chine to the sea. It was cool and shady in the chine and hardly anyone was about, the sun was sneaking through and shining on the green green green leaves and the birds were singing. i got to the beach which was all warm sand, blue sea and sky and hundreds of boats with bright sails across the water. i then fell asleep for an hour and a half!!!! it just made me so happy that i live where i do, that i can walk for ten minutes and just look at an amazing view for hours. I can;t understand how people can live anywhere else, but i am glad they do (some especially more than others) as otherwise it would be too crowded!!
i was also reading this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Magic-Beginners-Kelly-Link/dp/000724200X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211891473&sr=8-1 its completely mad but brilliant, and reminds me of the guy who wrote The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break, which is also madly brilliant. I'd recommend both.
I am now going to spend £20 on a barbie t-shirt and don't try and stop me!
